Lunch and Learn – Graduate Apprenticeships 8th July 2026
Grow your talent pipeline with Graduate Apprenticeships
As businesses across the Highlands continue to face skills and recruitment challenges, Graduate Apprenticeships offer a practical way to attract, develop and retain talent. Combining paid employment with degree-level study, they enable employers to build the skills their organisation needs while benefiting from a productive member of staff. Skills Development Scotland highlights Graduate Apprenticeships are an effective route for developing future talent, improving retention and addressing skills gaps.
To help employers explore the opportunity, DYW Inverness & Central Highland is hosting a free Lunch & Learn event on Wednesday 8 July at UHI Inverness, in partnership with UHI Inverness and Robert Gordon University. The session will cover how Graduate Apprenticeships work, available funding support, and how they can be used to recruit new talent or upskill existing employees.
Sandra McCaughey, Employer Engagement Manager at DYWICH, said, “Graduate Apprenticeships give employers the opportunity to develop the skills their business needs while investing in their future workforce. Whether you’re looking to recruit new talent or support the development of existing staff, this session will provide valuable insight into how the model could work for your organisation.” A light buffet lunch will be provided”.
