Tomatin unveils new distillery mural in partnership with Milburn Academy inspired by life in the Highlands
Developing the Young Workforce Inverness and Central Highlands (DYWICH) recently partnered with Highland distiller Tomatin and students from Milburn Academy in Inverness to create a new mural for the distillery, which brings to life the incredible people, landscape and industry that make up the region’s past and present. The project aims to showcase the range of roles open to young people in the Highlands and to encourage them to consider a career in the local area.

Careers Fair Success at Culloden Academy
In June, our DYW School Coordinator for Culloden Academy did a fantastic job at bringing together 43 employers from 14 sectors to help over 700 students to understand the width and breadth of career opportunities available to them on their doorstep. Partnership project gives Engineering students opportunity to put learnings into real-life practice
One of the main objectives of Developing the Young Workforce Inverness and Central Highland (DYWICH) is to bring together employers and educators to enhance learning experiences for young people, so that when its time to leave school they have a better understanding of the world of work. A partnership project hosted at Milburn Academy came to to life following a showcase event held between employers and teachers. RBYKA was interested in getting involved and, together with teacher Mr Tilman, an opportunity to put students learnings in the classroom was developed. Read the full case study here....
