Celebrate Your Journey and Inspire the Next Generation: #NoWrongPath Returns for its Ninth Year
17 July 2025

As summer approaches, thousands of young people across Scotland are preparing to receive their exam results and take their next steps - whether that’s in education, employment, training, volunteering or something completely different.
At this key moment of transition, #NoWrongPath returns for its ninth year - and we’re inviting professionals, businesses and organisations across the Highlands to join us in showing school-leavers that there’s no single way to success.
Led by Developing the Young Workforce, #NoWrongPath is a national, award-winning social media campaign that aims to reassure and inspire young people by sharing the diverse journeys people have taken into their current roles.
Whether you’ve followed a straight line or taken the scenic route, your story has the power to spark ambition, break down stereotypes, and remind young people that it's okay not to have it all figured out.
Why Get Involved?
1. Inspire the next generation
Your journey might be the one that gives a young person the confidence to explore their options. Real stories show that paths can be non-linear, unexpected - and still lead to success.
2. Break down career stereotypes
Help young people understand the variety of routes into your industry and show that skills, resilience, and attitude matter just as much as exam results.
3. Boost your brand as a youth-friendly employer
By taking part, you demonstrate a commitment to developing future talent - supporting your CSR, raising awareness of your sector, and helping build a more inclusive workforce.
4. Celebrate your own progress
Whether it’s your first job or your tenth, your achievements are worth sharing. Join this positive campaign and reflect on the path that brought you where you are today.
When and How to Take Part
#NoWrongPath 2025 runs from 4–8 August, with a major focus on Scottish Results Day: Tuesday 5 August. This extended window means even more time to share your story, reach a wider audience, and support school-leavers throughout the week.
Here’s how to get involved:
- Share a photo, video, reel or blog post on your social channels
- Include:
- Your name
- What you did when you left school
- What you’re doing now
- Add the hashtag #NoWrongPath
- Tag @DYWICH and @DYWScot so we can see and share your post
You can post in whatever format works for you - and if you need inspiration, we’ve got you covered.
