Welding and Fabrication Course at Nigg Skills Academy - Starts 13th January 25

Nigg Skills Academy flagship welding and fabrication course is due to commence again in January 2025. This 16 week course provides the first step on the ladder for young people to pursue an apprenticeship in fabrication or welding.
This 16 week, full-time course starts on Monday 13th January 2025. The course leads to an SVQ2 Performing Engineering Operations and NC Level 5 in Welding and Fabrication.
A bursary and transport are available.

Alastair Kennedy, Chairman of Nigg Skills Academy said " Out of the last course, 10 of the fifteen participants were chosen by a local employer for an apprenticeship. We are seeing a change in vocational learning in young people, where they can earn as they learn and so this course can lead them into a life-long well paid career"
